Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag has yet again made fun of the struggling Chennai Super Kings. It seems that Virender Sehwag is on a mission to humiliate the five-time IPL champions CSK, and their ongoing struggles this season give him a golden opportunity to do so.
Chennai Super Kings is currently the bottom-ranked side in the IPL 2025 points table with only two victories from their nine games so far in the tournament. This poor run has not only been humiliating to their legacy in the IPL but also given the critics the chance to insult and troll them.
Virender Sehwag enjoys CSK's nightmare IPL 2025 season
The ongoing IPL 2025 is probably their worst ever season in the history of the tournament. CSK has already been ruled out of the playoffs race, and there are high chances of them finishing as the 10th team in the ongoing season, the way things are looking for them.
Adding to their woes, Sehwag wished that CSK should finish the ongoing IPL 2025 as the bottom-ranked team. It seems that the former Indian opener is taking revenge for something from Chennai, as he wants the franchise to know the feeling of being the last side in the league.

Even if CSK finish last, it will be great: Virender Sehwag
Virender Sehwag said on Cricbuzz, “Tere muh mein ghee shakkar (May your mouth be filled with ghee and sugar),” before bursting into laughter when he was asked whether it’s the end of an era, as there is a possibility that CSK will finish last this season.
The former Indian opener said that if teams like Delhi Capitals, Punjab Kings, or even Royal Challengers Bengaluru take the trophy this season, he would be really happy. He further suggested that even if CSK ends up at the bottom in the ongoing IPL 2025, it wouldn’t be the end of the world, as they have played the finals for the record ten times.
Sehwag added, “If Delhi, Punjab, or even RCB wins, tere muh mein ghee shakkar. I can't say whether Chennai will finish last or not, but even if they do, it will be great. Because they know what it feels like to be number 10. They have played so many finals.”

They don’t need a new vision, they need new players: Virender Sehwag
Earlier, Sehwag pointed out that CSK's biggest issue is the team combination, but he believes that CSK can bounce back next season by making the right changes and bringing in new players. The cricket pundit noted that the franchise doesn’t need to make drastic changes.

Sehwag had said, “They don’t need a new vision. They need to see which players can be changed. I feel they need a combination in which they can perform well. I feel that whatever they have tried so far has not worked.
The opening combinations that the experienced players did not work, and neither did the new players. Now, with a few games, they are trying to check players that can make an impact so that they will be retained, and new players will be brought in for those who are pushed out.”
