Sri Lanka T20 skipper Wanindu Hasaranga has joined Shakib Al Hasan at the top of the T20I all-rounder rankings. Both the all-rounders are tied at 228 rating points and at the no.1 spot ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024, which will begin on 1st June in the United States of America and the Caribbean.

Wanindu Hasaranga joined Shakib Al Hasan at the top after the Bangladesh player dropped some points in the five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. Shakib missed the first three games of the series and then played in the last two games.

He was decent with both bat and ball but missing the first three games of the series cost him important ratings. This made Wanindu Hasaranga join him at the top. Apart from that, Afghanistan star Mohammad Nabi is stationed at No.2 spot with 218 rating points.

After his heroics with the bat and ball in the series against Bangladesh, Sikandar Raza jumped two spots. The all-rounder was impressive throughout the series as he scored 93 runs with the bat and also picked 2 wickets with the ball, helping his team win the last game of the series.

Apart from the all-rounder rankings, there were some changes in the batting rankings in the T20Is after the series between Ireland and Pakistan. Batter Andrew Balbirnie moved six spots up and bagged the 53rd spot in the updated rankings on Wednesday (15th May).

Andrew Balbirnie scored 128 runs from three games against Pakistan. Apart from his teammate Harry Tector also jumped 12 spots to 69th. He scored 98 runs in the series against Pakistan. Fakhar Zaman also climbed four places to 57th on the updated rankings for T20I batters

In terms of bowling, Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim climbed 24 spots to equal 52nd on the list for T20I bowlers. He also moved 5 steps up to bag 16th position in the T20I all-rounders rankings. After losing the first game, Pakistan made a strong comeback and won the last two games to win the series by the margin of 2-1.

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed also made gains. He climbed up three places to 23rd and his teammate Mustafizur Rahman moved up five spots to 25th after their performances in the T20I series against Zimbabwe.
