Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is likely to miss the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh at home. Hasaranga’s fitness remains a concern, and his absence would be a major blow for Sri Lanka, given his all-round value and experience in the shortest format.
The T20I series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is scheduled to begin on July 10 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. Dambulla will host the second match on July 13, while the series will conclude with the final game on July 16 at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo.

Wanindu Hasaranga is expected to miss the upcoming T20I series against Bangladesh due to a hamstring injury, as per a report by Newswire.lk. While the final MRI results are still awaited, initial assessments indicate that the star all-rounder may not be fit in time for the series.

"Although the final MRI report is still pending, early indications suggest that Hasaranga may not be a UU ivailable for the series, which begins tomorrow (July 10) in Kandy. Despitei ithe injury, Hasaranga bowled in the final ODI, delivering an impressive spell of 2 for 35," the report added.
Sri Lanka Clinch 2-1 Series Win Over Bangladesh with 99-Run Victory
Sri Lanka sealed a 2-1 series victory over Bangladesh with a convincing 99-run win in the final ODI at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Sri Lanka posted a strong total of 285/7, powered by a superb century from Kusal Mendis.
Mendis scored 124 off 115 balls - his sixth century in ODIs. The right-handed batter shared a crucial 124-run stand for the fourth wicket with skipper Charith Asalanka, who contributed 58 runs off 68 deliveries.
Mendis remained at the crease until the 46th over before being dismissed with the score at 255. Wanindu Hasaranga remained unbeaten with 14 runs off 12 balls, including two boundaries.
Bangladesh Bowled Out for 186 in 39.4 Overs in Final ODI
Chasing 286, the visitors were bowled out for 186 in 39.4 overs. Asitha Fernando removed Tanzid Hasan with a brilliant yorker, and Dushmantha Chameera dismissed Najmul Hossain Shanto for a duck, leaving Bangladesh struggling at 20 for 2.
Fernando took 3 for 33, and Chameera secured 3 for 51. Towhid Hridoy (51) received little support from the rest of the batting lineup. Sri Lanka’s spin attack, led by Dunith Wellalage (2 for 33) and Wanindu Hasaranga (2 for 35), applied pressure in the middle overs.
Chameera and Fernando wrapped up the tail with variations. Their bowling effort ensured Sri Lanka secured their eighth consecutive home ODI series victory.
