Dwayne Bravo arguably takes the best catch of the ongoing World Championship of Legends 2026 tournament during the match between the West Indies Champions and South Africa Champions at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on October 4 (Sunday). Just a few yards outside the inner circle, Bravo stretched his body to take a one-handed catch. The commentators were awestruck as it came out of nowhere.
Today, the World Championship of Legends 2026 match was between the West Indies Champions and South Africa Champions. South Africa went to bat first and got a good start with their openers Richard Levi and Faf du Plessis. While Levi kicked off the Proteas innings with his natural way of batting, the former South Africa captain, Plessis tried to hold one side of the crease.
Faf du Plessis danced down the track to unleash a big shot
To utilise the first few overs of the innings to bolster the run rate, Faf du Plessis went outside of his crease to loft Rayad Emrit out of the park. Emrit, however, read the batter's move early and kept the ball outside of the off stump. Plessis, who was already well outside his crease, extended both of his arms to reach the ball.
The right-handed batter somehow managed to connect the ball with the bat, but the connection was not there as he expected, and the ball went high in the air but lacked the power to reach the boundary line. Dwayne Bravo, who was posted at cover, spotted the ball and started to run underneath it.
Dwayne Bravo arguably took the best catch to dismiss Faf du Plessis
At the last moment, Dwayne Bravo stretched both of his arms and threw his body to take a spectacular catch only a few yards away from the inner circle. The 42-year-old took the catch using only one hand.
"Might be the best catch of the tournament. What a catch! What a performer... Dwayne Bravo, 42-year-old, young," the commentator on air screamed.
