India superstar Virat Kohli had a hilarious reaction after being tricked into signing an autograph by a fan. The incident took place after a training session in Colombo.

The right-handed batsman is currently in Sri Lanka with the rest of the Indian team, preparing for the upcoming three-match ODI series against the hosts. All three ODIs are scheduled to be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Coming to the incident, it happened when Virat Kohli was training on Thursday (August 1). After the net session, the former India skipper was heading back to the dressing room before he noticed that a few fans were waiting for him. Virat Kohli decided to greet them before going to the dressing room.

One fan had also seemingly brought a gift for the India batting stalwart. As Virat Kohli approached the fans, that particular fan asked for an autograph and the batting star came up with a hilarious reaction. Kohli thought that he was tricked by the fan as he said:

"Sign karu kya? Aapne bola mere liye hai, abhi aake bol rhe ho sign. (Should I sign? You said it was for me, now you are asking for a sign.)"

The fan, however, made it clear that he did not trick Virat Kohli. The fan said that the photographs were for Kohli while he wanted the autograph on his bat. Kohli responded by saying, 'oh, acha, acha (oh, okay)' before he accepted the photos from the fan. He then went on to sign a few bats.

Kohli will be making his much-awaited return to ODIs on Friday (August 2) when the first ODI is played between India and Sri Lanka. It will be Kohli's first ODI match since the World Cup final in November last year. Kohli had a stunning campaign in the World Cup where he had scored more than 700 runs to finish as the highest run-scorer and will be looking to hit the ground running in the upcoming series.

The series will also be India's first ODI assignment of the year. Earlier, the Men in Blue clean swept the three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka and will be looking to deliver a similar performance in the ODIs as well.
