The World No.1 T20 batsman Abhishek Sharma blew a flying kiss towards the stands after slamming a brutal half-century in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 match on Wednesday, September 24.

Abhishek Sharma blew a kiss towards the stands for his sister, Komal Sharma, who was in the stands to support her brother and witness his epic innings against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025.

He started off slow against Bangladesh, but after spending some time in the middle, he accelerated unbelievably and demolished the bowling unit.

Abhishek looked unstoppable in the middle and hit some astonishing-looking sixes to reach his fifty off just 25 balls. On the third ball of the 8th over, he took a single off Saif Hassan to complete his half-century.

After achieving the feat, Abhishek was seen blowing a kiss towards the stands where his sister Komal Sharma was sitting.

The batter looked all set to hit his third century in T20Is, but he turned out to be quite unfortunate as he got run out in the 12th over after a mix-up with his skipper, Suryakumar Yadav.

Abhishek took a long walk back to the hut after scoring 75 runs off 37 balls, with 6 fours and 5 sixes. His brilliant performance with the bat helped him become just the second Indian to score back-to-back fifties in the T20 Asia Cup after Virat Kohli.

India and Bangladesh won their first Super 4 game

Both India and Bangladesh registered a victory in their first match in the Super Four stage of the Asia Cup 2025. The Men In Blue defeated Pakistan, while the Bangla Tigers bagged a win over Sri Lanka.

Bangladesh took on Sri Lanka in the Super Four opener on September 20 in Dubai and stunned the Charith Asalanka-led side. Bowling first, they restricted Sri Lanka to 168/7 and then chased down the target in 19.5 overs.

Bangladesh won the match by 4 wickets, and Saif Hassan was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliant knock of 61 runs off 45 balls.

Talking about India, they destroyed arch-rivals Pakistan in Dubai on September 21. Bowling first, India reduced the Men In Green to 171/5.

Chasing the target, Abhishek Sharma annihilated Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and others and made them look absolutely clueless with his power-hitting.

Other Indian batters also chipped in, and they completed the run chase in 18.5 overs, winning by 6 wickets, and Abhishek Sharma was awarded Player of the Match for his 74-run knock.
