Sunrisers Hyderabad star Abhishek Sharma, on Friday (May 23), showed his brute force once again while batting in the ongoing game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow.
Over the years, fans have witnessed some absolutely gigantic sixes, with some shots sending the ball over the stadium roof and even outside the stadium. However, not many batsmen or perhaps no batsman had managed to shatter the windshield of the car parked near the stands before Abhishek Sharma did it on Friday.
For the uninitiated, Tata has been one of the sponsors of the IPL since 2019 and has showcased its latest cars during matches since that season. The car was parked well behind the boundary ropes, but Abhishek Sharma still managed to inflict serious damage on its windshield.

The incident took place in the second over when Abhishek Sharma was facing veteran pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar. On the fifth ball of the over, the right-arm pacer bowled a short of length delivery and Abhishek Sharma pulled the ball over deep midwicket. The ball took off straightaway and fell right on the car's windshield, shattering it instantly.

A similar incident had taken place in the Women's Premier League last year when Ellyse Perry had broken the rear window of a Tata Punch EV with a huge six. Later, she had received the shattered glass as a gift from TATA.

Talking about the ongoing game, Sunrisers Hyderabad were on 71/2 after 6 overs at the time of writing this report. Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klassen were batting in the middle for the Hyderabad-based outfit.
Asked to bat first, SRH were off to a quick start with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head adding 54 runs inside 4 overs for the first over. However, both of them departed in a space of three balls to leave SRH reeling at 54/2 from 54/0.
Sharma scored 34 off 17 balls before being dismissed by Lungi Ngidi, while Head scored 17 and was dismissed by Bhuvneshwar. SRH will be hoping that Klaasen and Kishan steady the ship and guide them to a big total.
