Abrar Ahmed shows bravery and tries to engage in battle with Virat Kohli

The mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has looked like the most threatening bowler of Team Pakistan in the ongoing match in Dubai. He has looked a class apart and has troubled the Indian batter by turning the deliveries both ways.

After India got off to a flying start in the match, the Pakistan National Cricket Team bowlers made a comeback and reduced the scoring rate of India.

Abrar Ahmed led from the front as Pakistan were trying to make a comeback in the match and with his spin-bowling he made life hard for the Indian batters.

In the 16th over, the mystery spinner went one step further to put India under pressure as he shockingly tried to sledge the 'GOAT' Virat Kohli.

On the third ball of the 16th over, he bowled a shortish ball to Kohli, who tried to cut it, but due to poor timing, the ball went back to Abrar.

The mystery spinner quickly picked up the ball and threw it towards Virat Kohli, who ducked it slightly, and Mohammad Rizwan collected the ball.

Abrar then went on to sledge Kohli as he charged towards him and was seen saying something. However, the Indian batter totally ignored the spinner. Abrar was also booed heavily by the crowd for his act.

What Happened In The Previous ODI Match Between India And Pakistan?

The last ODI match between India and Pakistan was held on October 14, 2023, during the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

It was expected to be a thriller but turned into a one-sided contest as India dominated. Winning the toss, India opted to bowl first in the match.

Pakistan started well, with Abdullah Shafique and Imam-ul-Haq building a good partnership. Then, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan took control and stitched up a crucial 82-run partnership.

At 155/2, Pakistan looked well-set for a colossal total. However, they suffered a shocking collapse. Mohammed Siraj dismissed Babar Azam, triggering a dramatic collapse where Pakistan lost eight wickets for just 36 runs.

Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, Mohammed Siraj, and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each, and Pakistan were bowled out for 191 in 42.5 overs.

Chasing 192, India came out with aggressive intent. Rohit Sharma smashed 86 off 63 balls with six fours and as many sixes. Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli fell early, but India never lost control. Shreyas Iyer and KL Rahul calmly guided the team to a 7-wicket victory with 117 balls to spare. Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his outstanding spell of 2/19.
