Batting first in the match, the Punjab Kings posted a humongous total of 245/6 on the board as Shreyas Iyer led from the front with his sensational knock of 82 runs.

It looked like an unachievable score before Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head joined forces to take the Punjab Kings bowling attack to the cleaners.

The duo played an attacking brand of cricket from the very first over and put PBKS under tremendous pressure. However, pacer Yash Thakur, who came in as an impact player, made the impact in his first over itself by producing a wicket-taking delivery to send back Abhishek Sharma.

On the fourth ball of the over, Yash Thakur bowled a length ball to Abhishek Sharma, who slapped the ball towards the deep point where the catch was taken by Shashank Singh.

However, suddenly the sirens went on and it turned out to be a no-ball. Looking at this, the Punjab Kings players looked absolutely shattered, and Abhishek Sharma hit six on the next ball.

Ex-cricketer shares views on SRH's bowling struggles.

Speaking ahead of the match on ESPNCricinfo, the broadcaster Danny Morrison was asked to share his views on the bowling unit of the Sunrisers Hyderabad, which has been struggling in the Indian Premier League 2025. He elaborated:

"No, we keep saying, good luck, you bowlers, don't we, from the fraternity? Because it is, it's just the nature of the beast. It's tough and you're trying to adapt to different surfaces that subtly change. I know there's been a discussion on that as well. But when I look at Pat Cummins, you think about Mitchell Starc, the start he had last year.

"And he went around the track. It wasn't until he got towards the finals he came good. I was just recently there in Bengaluru and Josh Hazlewood, you know, got moosed around the park there by KL Rahul.

"So when you think about quick bowlers, and if you don't get it right, particularly changes of pace, then you're going to disappear, you're going to travel. Mohammed Shami, I know he's coming back from major surgery, but still, if you're not quite there and thereabouts, and you miss your yorker, you miss your line a little bit, you're going to travel, there's no doubt about that."
