It Is Indescribable - Glenn Phillips On New Zealand's Historic Win
Speaking after the match, Glenn Phillips expressed his excitement about New Zealand's historic victory over India. He shared how significant it was for the team to achieve this milestone. He acknowledged the challenges of playing in India, adding that every contribution turned into gold.
"Oh it is indescribable. For us to do it for the first time in our history, it is pretty hard to describe it. I mean obviously it has been a long time of trying to beat these Indian boys at their home." Phillips said.
"Glad that it finally played dividend here. It is tough to come here and adjust but the boys have been really proud of themselves."
"They are incredibly strong. For us to win and to learn and adapt in spin friendly conditions was fantastic. I wish it gets easy with time. But it's tough to comprehend how tough it is to win here. For us to adjust was great"
"At the end of the day, it was a golden run for him (Santner). It was just about holding an end for us. Whatever he did turned into gold," he added.
