Australia's Alex Carey is not only a safe wicketkeeper but a fine fielder as well. During the match between Australia and England, Alex Carey showed that he has a great pair of hands while fielding as well.
In the 35th over of the match, Harry Brook ran down the track off the legspinner Adam Zampa's first delivery. Brook looked to smash the ball through the off-side with the spin. But it took his outside edge and flew to point.
Carey, who was stationed there, ran back and dived excellently to his left to grab a stunning catch. It was the third catch of the day for him as he continued his fine day on the field.

Harry Brook didn't have a great day with the bat and was dismissed for just 3 off 6 balls. The England vice-captain is a dangerous batter when he gets going but was dismissed cheaply.
Brook has a good record in Pakistan and enjoys the pitches here. He has scored 769 runs in 23 ODIs so far at an average of 36.61 and a strike rate of 101.98.
Third catch for Alex Carey
Before taking this catch, Alex Carey had already taken two catches previously, which included a stunning one-handed catch at mid-on to dismiss Phil Salt. Carey moved to his right from mid-on and leaped in the air perfectly to grab the catch.
A few overs later, Carey was presented with a simple chance from Jamie Smith and he gleefully accepted it. It was a perfect day on the field for him who usually has the gloves on his hands.
However, with Josh Inglis being Australia's preferred wicketkeeper, Carey is playing here as a pure batter and is expected to bat in the middle order.
The left-hander has been in excellent form with the bat recently which makes him an important part of Australia's batting line-up. Australia are already here with a depleted line-up and Carey will be expected to make use of his good form.
When did Josh Inglis replace Alex Carey in ODIs?
Alex Carey was in Australia's ODI squad till the 2023 World Cup. However, he was dropped midway through the tournament after a few poor returns. Josh Inglis replaced him in the white-ball squads and is still the team's first choice wicketkeeper.
Carey has played 77 ODIs and scored 2019 runs at an average of 34.83 and a strike rate of 89.97 with 1 hundred and 10 fifties. He is a good player of spin and will enjoy the conditions in Pakistan.
Australia will be looking to use all his experience in a tournament where they are deprived of some top-class players. Australia are without their first-choice bowling attack for the entire tournament.
Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to field first. England put up a strong total on the board after batting first.
