Virat Kohli does not squander a single opportunity to rile up the opposition players. No matter what the situation is, the batting superstar tries his best to get the psychological edge on the field.

The former India skipper tried something similar during the ongoing first qualifier between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Punjab Kings at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, Chandigarh. However, his attempt turned out to be futile as Arshdeep Singh completely ignored him.

The incident took place in the very first over of the RCB innings when Arshdeep Singh was bowling and Virat Kohli was on the strike. After Phil Salt took a single on the first ball, Kohli hit the second ball for a four.

The third ball from the left-arm pacer was on the pads, and Kohli tried to flick but could not make any contact with the ball. However, the ball still ran away for a four after making contact with the thigh pad. And soon after the ball raced away, Virat Kohli started walking down the pitch while giving Arshdeep Singh a death stare.

In response, the PBKS pace spearhead did not react at all as he just turned back and started walking towards his bowling mark.

Meanwhile, Kohli did not last long and departed after scoring a run-a-ball 12. He was dismissed by Kyle Jamieson in the 4th over. At the time of writing this report, RCB were on 34/1 in the 5th over while chasing a modest total of 102 runs.

Earlier in the game, PBKS were bowled out for just 101 runs after being asked to bat first. Marcus Stoinis (26) was the only PBKS batter to reach the 20-run mark with the bat. For RCB, Josh Hazlewood and Suyash Sharma impressed with the ball, with both of them taking 3 wickets each.
