The young batsman Ayush Mhatre has impressed everyone with his brilliant batting performances in the Indian Premier League 2025.
After coming in as an injury replacement in the middle of the season, he has set the stage on fire and has cemented his place in the CSK playing XI.
Ayush has so far played quickfire knocks at the top of the order, and he even played a long innings of 94 runs against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
He continued his golden run with the bat in the match against the Rajasthan Royals and slammed a blazing 43 runs off 20 balls, with 8 fours and 1 six.

The young batter tried to smash the six down the ground, but he only managed to make contact with the bottom of the bat and didn't time his shot well. The ball went flying towards Kwena Maphaka, who came in running from the boundary, dived forward, and completed a stunning catch.

Abhinav Mukund criticises the RR bowling unit
Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the match, Abhinav Mukund criticized the bowling unit of the Rajasthan Royals. He put the blame on RR bowlers for the team's IPL 2025 struggles and slammed the team management for banking on overseas spinners. He elaborated:
"It's their bowling. They've got an inexperienced bowling attack. I still don't mind their batting. I know people are saying that they haven't finished as well, but I feel they're giving 15, 20 runs more every single game above what's par for the course. We've seen that on multiple occasions. I cannot believe a team that gets to 70, 80 in a power play and then ends up losing the game.
"So yeah, I get that there is so much question marks in the middle order, but I still feel that you've got to bolster those bowling resources, especially spin. Why do you need to look overseas for spin options? We have a multitude of spinners in this country who have done exceptionally well. And I can name so many who have not been part of the IPL.
"You've got so many spinners around in the country. Free up that spot for another overseas. I couldn't agree more with Tom's point. If you've got four overseas, you have to be gun in this league. And you need to fix up that Indian spinner spot or the spinner spot. Don't go with two overseas and maybe then rebuild your team around it."
