Pakistan National Cricket Team Team batter Babar Azam is having a torrid time in Test cricket, especially with the second Test against Bangladesh National Cricket Team just a few days away. The match will take place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi from 30th August.
Babar Azam has been under the scanner for his poor run in Test cricket. The right-hander has failed to get going in the longest format of the game and the same happened even in the recently concluded first Test against Bangladesh National Cricket Team.
Babar bagged a duck in the first innings of the Test against Rawalpindi and then couldn't make a bigger impact in the second innings as well.
The batter slammed 22 runs off 50 balls with the help of three boundaries. His poor outing saw the team losing the game even after being in the winning position.
Going into the second Test, the scanner will be on Babar Azam as he will have to make a massive impact if Pakistan have to make a comeback in the series.
However, the preparations aren't going in the way he would've wanted as he got out to Khurram Shahzad yet again in the nets.
Khurram Shahzad, who castled Babar ahead of the first Test in nets, came up with another delivery to remove the batter. The right-hander ended up edging the ball as it flew towards the slip. The video went viral on the internet and saw batter getting criticized a lot.

Babar Azam has failed to score a single fifty in the longest format of the game since 2022. In the 12 innings that he played last year, he scored just 204 runs, which is well below the standards set for him, and not only this, he has also seen a lot of people questioning his place in the team.
Ahead of the Test series against Bangladesh National Cricket Team, Babar Azam was ranked 3rd on the ICC Test rankings. However, after his two failures in the first Test, he faced a massive setback in the Test rankings. He dropped six places to fall from third place to ninth.
Pakistan faced a disappointing 10-wicket loss in the first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. They were strong favorites to win the game as they started pretty well. However, with the way, the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led made a comeback, it was one for everything to witness.
Pakistan were asked to bat first and they had a poor start as they lost three quick wickets. But after that, Mohammad Rizwan (171*) and Saud Shakeel (141) played a magnificent inning and brought the Team back into the game. Skipper Shan Masood then declared the innings on 448 runs, but it proved to be a wrong decision.
Bangladesh also struggled a bit against the new ball and lost a few early wickets. But after that, they batted well. Shadman Islam scored 93 runs while Mominul Haque also slammed a half-century as well. Mushfiqur Rahim also played an innings of 191 runs as Bangladesh took the lead of over 100.
They then bundled out Pakistan for just 146 runs, setting the target of just 30 runs, which they chased with 10 wickets in hand.
