Mohammad Haris, the wicket-keeper batter who recently made headlines with controversial remarks on former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam, has himself been spotted frustrated as he broke his bat after being dismissed for just 1 run in the match against the UAE.

Pakistan is currently touring the UAE to feature in a tri-nation series alongside Afghanistan, the other team in the series. This was originally a bilateral between Pakistan and Afghanistan, which the PCB urged to be moved to the UAE in the form of a Tri-nation series.

The series would mark preparations for the Pakistan team ahead of the Asia Cup, which will also be hosted in the UAE. Pakistan entered the series on the back of an ODI series loss and a T20I series win over the West Indies National Cricket Team.

Mohammad Haris breaks the bat in frustration; Trolled over the controversial Babar Azam remark

In the ongoing Tri-series, Pakistan were sent in to bat first in their second game. The team had made some changes to their bowling deck, as they are aiming to fix a starting XI ahead of the Asia Cup.

However, the incident that caught the attention of all was Mohammad Haris, the young wicket-keeper batsman, who was caught on camera breaking his bat with visible frustration after being dismissed against the UAE.

The batter was sent in to bat at no. 7 as a lower-order big-hitting batsman; however, he has returned with the scores of 15 runs off 13 balls and 1 run off 2 balls in two games of the series so far.

After his consecutive failures, the Babar Azam fans have poked fun at the cricketer since he was the one who questioned Babar's intent in the shortest format of the game and asked him to play 'faster.' This comment had gathered widespread criticism for the young player disrespecting the esteem of the veteran cricketer.

Pakistan win second game in UAE Tri-series

Another incident, ahead of the series that had caught the attention of many other than Babar Azam's snub, was a reporter claiming Afghanistan as the second-best Asian side in a press conference ahead of the kickoff of the tri-series.

Pakistan skipper Agha Salman laughed at the comment sarcastically as if he had something to prove in the upcoming series, and the skipper led by example, scoring a half-century and leading them to a win against the Afghans in the first T20I of the series.

Winning against the UAE as well, they have now won two games this series already and have made a great start to their preparations for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.

Babar Azam played the Exhibition match between Peshawar Zalmi and Pakistan Legends

After being snubbed from the tri-series as well as the Asia Cup squad, former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam was spotted playing in the exhibition match in Peshawar, which was arranged to raise funds for the flood-affected people.

The Peshawar Zalmi XI featured Babar against the Pakistan Legends XI, and he too scored a quick 41 off just 22 balls before being cleaned up by Saeed Ajmal. He batted against Shoaib Akhtar with superb grit, and his team claimed a 6-run victory over the opponents.
