Mohammed Siraj's Brutal Delivery Floors Ben Stokes
Stokes' personal form has been quite poor with the bat for an extended period of time, and he has not been able to play his magical knocks either.
In the first four innings of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against India, Ben Stokes registered the scores of 20, 33, 0, and 33. He registered his best score in the ongoing series against India at Lord's when he scored 44 runs off 110 balls in the first innings.
In the second innings, Ben Stokes played cautious cricket and was in no mood to attack the Indian bowlers. Meanwhile, he was on the receiving end of a nasty blow during the 29th over.
On the last ball of the over, Mohammed Siraj bowled a length delivery from around the wicket, and it didn't bounce as much as Ben Stokes anticipated.
Stokes was hit directly on the box, and he collapsed. He was seen lying flat on the pitch, and he composed himself. Nasser Hussain came up with a cheeky statement looking at the incident, and he dropped a double entendre on-air, saying "No balls left in the over”.
Indian players KL Rahul and Dhruv Jurel didn't bother to check on the England skipper, but Ravindra Jadeja walked close to Stokes and had a small chat, probably asking about his well-being. Notably, when Stokes had hit Rahul on the box in the Headingley Test, he also didn't check on the batter.

It was exhausting, wasn't it?! Brilliant to watch - Stuart Broad
Speaking on Sky Sports, the legendary England National Cricket Team pacer Stuart Broad talked about the morning session on Day 4 of the Lord's Test. He lauded the Indian bowlers for starting off well and the England batters for staging a great comeback. Stuart Broad said:
"It was exhausting, wasn't it?! Brilliant to watch. I thought India started beautifully with the ball, great intensity, which we always thought was going to happen after last night's over. That galvanised India with the energy and togetherness but England have fought hard, fought back at times. With that sort of bounce on the pitch, if I am an England bowler, I am thinking 'get me 220 and I am in the game'."
Stuart Broad also lashed out at Harry Brook for his dismissal off Akash Deep on the fourth day. He said:
"His mindset is 'if I can go and get 60 or 70 off however many balls on this surface, I can create a bit of panic and put my team in a winning position'. There were two brilliantly executed scoops and he then got the field change he wanted, but it was a clever field change moving fine leg finer. He had almost got India were he needed them to be. Now settle in and play. Make them bowl you a good ball. That is how I feel."
