In a shocking video, the players of the Pakistan cricket team are seen doing fielding drills on the mattresses. Imam-ul-Haq and Saud Shakeel were some of the high-profile players involved in the drills.

The video has gone viral on social media in which Pakistan fans are accusing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) of such low standards in fielding despite having a net worth of $55 million and being the fourth richest cricket board in the world.

Pakistan cricket team didn't have a great time recently as they bowed out of the T20 World Cup 2024 from the group stage. The team lost its opening fixtures against the USA and India. Despite winning their next two games against Canada and Ireland, the Men in Green failed to secure their qualification to the Super 8 stage.

The loss to the USA was particularly demoralizing as Pakistan was expected to beat a much-inexperienced team but lost in the Super Over. They came close to beating their arch-rivals India in the next game but lost by 6 runs.

Pakistan's bowling was up to the mark but the team's batters let them down. Skipper Babar Azam scored 122 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 101.66 while the team's other dependable batter Mohammad Rizwan scored 110 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 90.90

Since then, there have been questions over Babar Azam's captaincy while the PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi has promised a 'major surgery' after the team's disappointing campaign.

There is still some time before Pakistan prepares for its next international assignment. This will give them some time to recover from their horror T20 World Cup campaign and prepare better for the future series.

Pakistan will travel to Australia for an ODI and a T20I series in November. With the Champions Trophy stated to be held in Pakistan in 2025, the ODI series will have a lot of significance for both teams.

The T20 World Cup 2024 concluded on June 29 with India clinching the title after defeating South Africa by 7 runs in the final. The Men in Blue had an excellent campaign and remained unbeaten throughout.

Virat Kohli was adjudged Player of the Match in the final for a brilliant 76 off 59 balls. Meanwhile, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was adjudged Player of the Tournament for taking 15 wickets in 8 matches at an unbelievable economy rate of 4.17.
