Cameron Green grabbed a stunning catch during AUS vs WI 2nd ODI to dismiss Roston Chase. The Aussie all-rounder made a spectacular dive to grab Roston Chase’s shot with his left hand. With his fabulous fielding, Cameron Green hampered West Indies’ last hope in the chase.

Chasing 259 for victory in AUS vs WI 2nd ODI in Sydney, West Indies were 8 wickets down with more than 100 runs required for victory. However, with Roston Chase at the crease, West Indies still had hopes for a magical finish.

Notably, Chase slammed a crucial half-century in the previous game to rescue the team in batting. However, he could not showcase an impeccable batting show this time as West Indies eventually lost the match by a big margin.

While Sean Abbott dismissed Roston Chase in the match, it’s not wrong to say Cameron Green should be awarded the credit for the dismissal. As Chase tried to smack the ball towards mid-wicket, Cameron Green dived towards his left and got hold of the ball with his fingertips.

Roston Chase could only add 25 runs off 41 balls before losing his wicket. After dismissing Chase, Sean Abbot also bundled out last wicket Gudakesh Motie to drive Australia to victory. Sean Abbott hunted 3 wickets to win the Player of the Match award. Earlier, he also stormed a 69-run crucial knock to drive Australia to a decent total of 258-9.

Sean Abbott drove Australia to 258-9 in 1st innings

Batting first, Australia lost openers Jake Fraser-McGurk and Josh Inglis at 21 runs on the board. Steve Smith also got out cheaply for 5. However, Cameron Green added 33 runs off 41 at one-down.

Later, Marnus Labuschagne (26), Matthew Short (41), and Aaron Hardie (26) added some runs on the board. However, Sean Abbott slammed the knock of the match with his 69 off 63 including 4 sixes. His amazing job at the lower order helped Australia to surpass the 250-run mark.

West Indies lose 2nd ODI by 83 runs

West Indies completely failed to offer a powerful chase. They lost top-order batters Alick Athanaze (11), Justin Greaves (8), and Kjorn Ottley (8) in a flash. Later, Shai Hope added some hope with his 29 while Keacy Carty hit 40 off 51.

Roston Chase added 25 runs later. However, his dismissal shattered the hopes for West Indies’ victory in the match. Losing the AUS vs WI 2nd ODI match by 83 runs, West Indies have also lost the series 2-0 with one more match to go. Australia vs West Indies 3rd ODI will take place Tuesday, February 6 at Manuka Oval in Canberra.
