Out-of-favour England pacer Chris Jordan displayed his exceptional athleticism and reflexes in a thrilling clash during the ongoing Caribbean Premier League 2024 (CPL 2024) at the iconic Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.

The Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) were taking on the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKNP) in the 20th match of the season, and tensions were running high in Trinidad. As the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKNP) wanted to build a solid innings, Kyle Mayers was at the crease, playing an aggressive brand of cricket with his bat.

Having already scored a quickfire 60 off just 30 balls with the help of three sixes and eight boundaries, Mayers put his team in a strong position, but Chris Jordan had other plans for the West Indies batter. In the 11th over, the English seamer delivered a well-placed length ball, which Mayers attempted to return with a backfoot shot.

The ball unexpectedly deflected off the top of his bat and headed straight back towards Jordan at the iconic Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad. With lightning speed, Chris Jordan reacted instinctively as he dove himself to the right.

The crowd in Trinidad was left stunned as he picked the ball midair, executing a spectacular catch that not only dismissed Mayers but also shifted the momentum of the match in favor of the TKR.

The stadium erupted in cheers for Chris Jordan’s brilliant effort, with Mayers walking back to the pavilion for 60 runs off 30 balls, and the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) team seized control in the CPL 2024 clash, which they eventually won by seven wickets against the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKNP).

Meanwhile, Chris Jordan was impressive with the all for the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR), as the pacer finished with the match figures of 2 for 29 in his four overs against the St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SKNP). In a thrilling match victory, Nicholas Pooran (93*) and Jason Roy (64) went fantastic.

The SKNV batted first after TKR decided to field first, and they went on to post a mammoth total of 193/4 on the board in their 20 overs. SKNP captain Andre Fletcher was just one run short of a century, contributing 93 runs off 61 balls, which included six sixes and four fours.

Brisk 60 runs off 30 balls by Mayers also made a valuable contribution, but he also formed a solid 99-run partnership for the second wicket with Fletcher. On the other hand, Jordan dismissed Mayers, Akeal Hosein, and Jayden Seals for TKR in the CPL 2024 match.

Chasing 194 runs to win the game, Pooran was the best performer, as he smashed 93 off just 43 deliveries with seven sixes and six fours. On the other hand, Roy also came in some pretty powerful fashion, with 64 off 34 balls, including four sixes and six fours. For SKNV, Kyle Mayers, Anrich Nortje, and Tabraiz Shamsi each took one wicket against the TKR.
