South Africa National Cricket Team batting coach JP Duminy was back in the field in the national colors for the ongoing third ODI against the Ireland National Cricket Team. The dead rubber game between the teams is taking place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi.
During the last over the Ireland's innings, white-ball coach of South Africa JP Duminy was seen in the field. The former Proteas player of the team fielded for the entire last over and it made many wonder about the same as why JP Duminy fielded.
However, it was revealed that the white-ball batting coach of the Proteas JP Duminy was out there on the park fielding because some of the South African players went out of the field with fatigue and sore bodies. It was learned that the heat and humidity of Abu Dhabi got the better of them. So, that's why JP Duminy had to fill in.

Ireland post a decent total of 284 runs on the board
Ireland National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to bat first. They had a decent outing with the bat and posted a challenging total on the board. Andrew Balbirine (45) and skipper Paul Stirling (85). The duo added 101 runs for the opening partnership, putting pressure on the opposition.
After that, Curtis Campher (34) played a vital hand as well before Harry Tector (60) slammed a blistering half-century. However, after that things didn't go their way as they lost wickets at regular intervals and couldn't finish off the innings on high.
South African bowlers made a strong comeback and made sure they restricted the opposition under a total of 290 runs. Lizaad Williams was the star performer with the ball as he returned with the figures of 4/56 in the 10 overs that he bowled in the game.
Ottneil Baartman and Andile Phehlukwayo also picked two wickets each. The bowlers did their job in the heat and now would be hoping the batters to chase the target and complete the 3-0 whitewash in the three-match series.
The last couple of games haven't gone to plan for us as a batting group - Andrew Balbirine
Andrew Balbirine spoke about the team's performance with the bat, admitting that they haven't done anything good with the bat of late and that runs were crucial for them. He also talked about his partnership with Paul Stirling, saying that the captain batted brilliantly.
Andrew Balbirine also spoke about his omission from the T20I squad, saying that he trusts himself to be skillful enough to do well in ODIs and Tests. He also lauded Harry Tector, saying that the young batter will be the leader of our batting group in the years to come. Speaking after the innings, he explained:
"The last couple of games haven't gone to plan for us as a batting group. We wanted to set up a platform. Runs on the board are crucial. We have done similar to what they did in the last couple of games. Now we need to put it in the right areas. [on the pull shot] It's been a big strength of mine, sometimes it comes off, sometimes it doesn't. Paul batted brilliantly and the other guys came out and batted with intent.
"[on his omission from the T20 side] The selectors have made a call and I'm OK with it. I trust myself to be skilful enough to do well in ODIs and Tests. [on Tector] I always believe that performance is temporary and class is permanent. He will be the leader of our batting group in the years to come. It was nice for him to get some runs. We have to be disciplined with the ball and take our chances when they come," he concluded.
