Former Pakistan opener Sharjeel Khan's stunning 76-run innings lifted his team to a promising 195 runs, but with de Villiers' splendid innings, he made it look like a one-sided final. The masterclass innings comprised a huge 120 runs as they chased down 196 with 19 balls remaining.

After the India Champions withdrew from the game against the Pakistan Champions twice, first in the group stages and then later in the semi-final, which resulted in Pakistan's direct entry into the finals of the competition.
