Team India and Australia are currently up against each other in the final of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. The match is taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The game was briefly interrupted by a pitch invader before he was escorted off the field by the security personnel. The incident took place in the 14th over when KL Rahul was getting ready to face Adam Zampa. Just before the fourth ball of the over, the pitch intruder came out on the field and managed to get close to Virat Kohli.
He even put one of his arms on the India batting superstar’s shoulder before the stewards arrived. The person was also wearing a t-shirt with the message: “Stop bombing Palestine”. Incidentally, the match between India and Australia earlier in the competition was also interrupted by famous prankster Jarvo 69.

India in a spot of bother in World Cup final:
Team India are in a precarious situation at the moment. At the time of writing this report, the hosts were reeling at 101 for 3 in 16 overs with Rahul and Kohli in the middle. Opener Shubman Gill failed to get going in his first-ever World Cup final and was dismissed by Mitchell Starc for just 4. Captain Rohit Sharma once again went hard right from the word go.
He had raced away to 47 off just 30 balls with the help of 4 fours and 3 sixes before a stunning catch from Travis Head ended his stay. In-form Shreyas Iyer, who had scored centuries in his last two outings, failed to get going in the World Cup final and was out for just 4. He was dismissed by Pat Cummins after edging a delivery to the wicketkeeper.
India would be hoping that Rahul and Kohli help them recover once again like they did earlier in the competition. India were reeling at 2 for 3 when they faced Australia in the league stage before a 165-run stand between Kohli and Rahul helped the hosts chase down 200 runs with ease.
