Mumbai Indians pacer Deepak Chahar had a decent outing with bat and ball in the game against Chennai Super Kings. The third game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 took place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Sunday (23rd March).

Deepak Chahar, who made his debut for Mumbai Indians, came up with an all-around effort against his old team. The India star was spot-on with his bat and ball as he made sure that the Suryakumar Yadav-led side was in the game in both innings of the game.

While his performance with bat and ball was one for everyone to applaud, Deepak Chahar also came up with an eye-catching moment in the field. The pace-bowling all-rounder was seen sledging Chennai Super Kings player MS Dhoni as he walked out to bat late in the innings.

As MS Dhoni walked out to bat, Deepak Chahar was seen saying something to the batter. The pacer was seen clapping in front of the keeper-batsman. The duo then were engaged in a hilarious moment as well after the match ended. As the players were shaking hands, the CSK player hit the MI star with the bat.

Coming to the match, Chennai Super Kings began their campaign on high as they beat Mumbai Indians by 4 wickets. It was a brilliant effort from the franchise with both bat and ball as they continued their dominance of the last few years against their rivals.

Chennai Super Kings didn't let Mumbai Indians batters settle at all. They kept taking wickets at regular intervals and restricted them to a total of 155 runs. It was possible because of Deepak Chahar as he played a brilliant innings of unbetan 28 runs in the end. Noor Ahmad was the pick of the bowlers with his four-fer while Khaleel Ahmed also bagged three wickets.

Chennai Super Kings then, with that, was spot on even though they lost wickets in middle overs. Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad led from the front and slammed a quick-fire 53 runs. Rachin Ravindra carried his bat through and played an unbeaten innings of 65 runs to take his team home as the hosts won the game by 4 wickets.
