Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Devdutt Padikkal played an impactful knock in the ongoing game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is taking place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Devdutt Padikkal, who walked out to bat at number three, came out all guns blazing as he took the attack to the Chennai Super Kings bowlers right from the start. The left-hander slammed Sam Curran and Ravindra Jadeja all over the park to raise the tempo of the innings.

Devdutt Padikkal timed the ball of perfection as he played some magnificent-looking shots to get some quick runs for his team. With the way he was batting, it needed something special to remove him and the Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad came up with exactly that in the field.

During the 5th ball of the 8th over, Ravichandran Ashwin bowled a flighted off-break on the off-stump, to which Devdutt Padikkal backed away and tried to play a drive. He ended up hitting it flat and low towards extra cover, where Ruturaj Gaikwad was stationed.

Chennai Super Kings skipper bent forward and scoped it up inches above the ground. As soon as he took out, he signaled out, and following a quick check by the third umpire, the batter was termed out.
