Watch: Dhruv Jurel takes a 1-handed stunner to send Mitchell Starc packing

Emerging India player Dhruv Jurel showed some brilliant reflexes to help India get the wicket of Mitchell Starc on the stroke of Tea. It was the eighth wicket of the Australian innings and India inched closer to a memorable win at Perth.
Offspinner Washington Sundar bowled a length ball which angled in towards Mitchell Starc. He tried to flick the ball away to the leg side and even got a decent chunk of his bat. However, Jurel was stationed there at short leg and plucked out a stunning catch with his right hand.
The ball had almost gone behind him but he held on to the catch. Dhruv Jurel was mobbed by his teammates after the catch as the umpires signaled Tea. India went into the dressing room in a highly dominating position.

It was a brilliant reflex catch from the youngster as it brought an end to a stubborn stand between Alex Carey and Mitchell Starc. Carey and Starc stitiched together a partnership of 45 runs and kept the Indian bowlers frustrated for some time.
However, Jurel's excellent catch brought India closer to the victory. It is to be noted that Dhruv Jurel is a wicketkeeper but is playing this match purely as a batter. However, he showed that he is not only a fine wicektkeeper but a brilliant fielders as well.
Good batting form for Dhruv Jurel
The youngster has been in good form of late as he scored runs in the recently concluded series between Australia A and India A. He was selected in this match on the basis of his recent form.
However, it didn't turn out to be a great match for him with the bat. Jurel returned with scores of 11 and 1 across both the innings. He can be dropped for the next match in Adelaide in favor of Rohit Sharma.

Rohit is likely to bat up the order with Rahul moving down to No. 6. This makes it difficult jor Jurel to make it into the Playing XI. However, he remains an integral part of the squad.
He is the back-up wicketkeeper in India's squad with Rishabh Pant being the first-choice wicketkeeper. Jurel made a fine start to his Test career earlier this year.
The youngster was adjudged the Player of the Match in just the second Test match of his career. He made his debut against England and played three Tests in the series. Dhruv Jurel is one for the future as he posseses good batting and neat wicektkeeper skills.
Meanwhile, India continued its domination over Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Chasing a mammoth target to win, Australian batters struggled against some fine bowling from Indian bowlers and had no answers to them.
