Lucknow Super Giants spinner Digvesh Rathi has looked in superb touch with the ball in the ongoing game against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow is hosting the game between the teams.

Digvesh Rathi brought Lucknow Super Giants back into the game after Mumbai Indians batter Suryakumar Yadav and Naman Dhir were batting superbly. The duo were putting pressure on the Rishabh Pant-led side with their partnership, and it seemed that they would take the game away from the hosts.

But Digvesh Rathi came up with the magical delivery to provide his team with the crucial breakthrough of Naman Dhir. The mystery spinner removed the batter on the first ball of the 9th over to give a sigh of relief to the Lucknow Super Giants fans.

Digvesh Rathi pushed a delivery through outside off on a good length, to which Naman Dhir tried to flick too square. He missed the ball as it went on to hit the off-stumps. The batter also got a slight inside edge before the ball crashed into the stumps.

After taking the wicket, Digvesh Rathi came up with his trademark celebration, which he has been doing in the ongoing IPL 2025. He came up with the notebook celebration, for which he faced a fine by the BCCI in the last game against the Punjab Kings.

Digvesh Rathi had a sensational outing with the ball in the game against Mumbai Indians. His spell potentially was the difference between the two teams as he returned with the figures of 1/21. The mystery spinner put pressure on the batters and sealed the game for his team.

Lucknow Super Giants won the game by 12 runs and restricted Mumbai Indians to a total of 191/5. At one stage, it was almost certain that the Hardik Pandya-led side would win the game easily but the hosts pulled back the things brilliantly.

The win surely would've lifted the monkey off the back of skipper Rishabh Pant. The keeper-batter has been under massive pressure because of this poor batting and leadership. This was the second win for Lucknow Super Giants in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
