Perth Scorchers batter Finn Allen was at his brutal best with the bat in the first over of the ongoing match against the Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25. The 26th game of the tournament between the teams is taking place at the Perth Stadium in Perth.
Perth Scorchers were asked to bat first, with Finn Allen getting on the strike on the third ball. However, it wasn't a great start for him as he coped with a nasty blow on the head on the first ball that he faced from the Melbourne Renegades pacer Tom Rogers.

Tom Rogers bowled a delivery that was banged in short just outside off. Finn Allen was rushed onto the pull and the ball took the top edge and hit the New Zealand National Cricket Team batter on the grill of the helmet. Things didn't look great as the physios rushed out to attend to him.
But what caught the attention of many was the response by Finn Allen after getting hit on the head. The New Zealand National Cricket batter brought his aggressive best with the bat and was all over the Melbourne Renegades pacer Thomas Rogers in that over.
On the very next ball, Allen smashed a thumping over. Rogers bowled a good length and just outside off to which the Perth Scorchers batter came down the track and made room to drill it past the non-striker, giving a perfect reply to the fast bowler.
Allen then made sure that he doubled the effort on the next ball as he slammed a brutal six. Tom Rogers bowled a short ball that was just outside off. Allen picked the length early, swiveled across, and then hammered the pull over mid-wicket, sending it soaring a long way into the stands.
