New Zealand fast bowler Adam Milne took sweet revenge by dismissing Finn Allen during the opening match of the Big Bash League (BBL) 2024-25 season. Finn Allen smashed a six off Adam Milne's first delivery, and the right-hander tried to repeat the shot on the next ball but ended up getting bowled.
The Melbourne Stars won the bat flip and chose to bat first in their season opener at the Perth Stadium in Perth on Sunday, December 15. However, their innings started disastrously as they collapsed to 2-3 in 3.2 overs. The team then lost wickets at regular intervals against the Perth Scorchers' attack.
The Stars managed to post 146/9 in their 20 overs. Marcus Stoinis was the top scorer with 37 off 33, while Tom Curran added a quickfire 37 off 19. Jhye Richardson was the pick of the bowlers for the Scorchers, taking three wickets for 19 runs. Jason Behrendorff conceded just 19 runs in his four overs.
“I think they are 20 or 30 short the Stars, it was a stuttering innings,” Mark Waugh said.

In response, the Perth Scorchers began their innings with a bang as Finn Allen smashed a massive six off the first ball from Adam Milne. The hit was hailed as one of the biggest in BBL history. However, the right-arm bowler struck on the very next ball with an inswinging delivery that rattled Allen's stumps.
"It's the ultimate revenge," Mark Howard said in commentary.
Following the wicket, Milne looked pumped with his facial expressions as he completed his revenge, and the batter left the crease.
