Georgia Wareham stole the limelight in the first innings of the ongoing game against Delhi Capitals. Delhi Capitals women were asked to bat first and Shafali Verma took her team off the rollicking start. She played crisp shots in her innings and was looking all set for a big innings.
During the 3rd ball of the 11th over, Shafali Verma played an aggressive stroke as she whipped the ball from De Klerk high and wide of mid-wicket. The ball was sailing over the ropes and it was certain that it would be another six.
But Georgia Wareham had other plans and she made sure that she saved runs for her team. She put in a Superman effort as she leaped up and took the catch with her left hand. But she couldn’t hold on to it and threw the ball back into play and landed beyond the ropes.

Georgia Wareham’s save reminds fans of AB de Villiers’ catch at Chinnaswamy
As Georgia Wareham produced a magnificent effort at the boundary ropes, it reminded fans of the AB de Villiers’ special catch at the M Chinnaswamy. The former Royal Challengers Bangalore batter plucked a stunning catch during the IPL 2018.
During the game against SRH, Alex Hales played a lofted shot off Moeen Ali. It was certain that the ball would go for a six. But the batter leaped up highly before plucking the ball from the sky with his right hand. What was amazing was he managed to keep his balance.
