Tension has been brewing up in the ongoing India-Pakistan clash of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (February 23). Actually, Hardik Pandya lost his cool on Mohammad Rizwan during the 17th over of Pakistan’s innings in Dubai.

On the third ball of the 17th over, Hardik Pandya bowled a 130.8 kph delivery on a good length around off-stump, and Mohammad Rizwan stayed back and defended it towards midwicket. In the next delivery, the Pakistani wicketkeeper managed to make the seamer angry.

Just as Hardik charged in to deliver, an unknown disturbance unsettled Rizwan at the crease. The Pakistan captain stepped back and asked the Indian all-rounder to wait, breaking his rhythm that left him furious. After his gesture, Hardik changed his direction and faked hitting Rizwan with the ball.

After changing his direction, Hardik attempted to throw the ball towards Rizwan but stopped midway. In the heat of the moment, he also murmured something under his breath in frustration. Now, the clip of this heated moment is going viral on social media.

Meanwhile, the India National Cricket Team is currently searching for a wicket as Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel’s unbeaten 80+ partnership is becoming a big headache for them. After Babar Azam and Imam-ul-Haq were dismissed quickly after posting 41 runs on the board, Pakistan skipper and Shakeel took control of the side and brought the side back into the match.

Notably, India’s bowling attack is struggling to break partnerships in the middle overs, raising concerns in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Shockingly, the Men in Blue have now gone 48 consecutive overs without a wicket in the middle phase of their matches in the tournament.
