The Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Hardik Pandya was not pleased with the bowling of the medium pacer Penumatsa Venkata Satyanarayana Raju in the ongoing match against the Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
The right-arm pacer Satyanarayana Raju is the new recruit of the Mumbai Indians (MI), and he made his debut against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in his team's Indian Premier League 2025 opener and bowled just one over, conceding 13 runs.

Hardik Pandya fumes at Satyanarayana Raju
Raju was brought to bowl the 17th over of the first innings when Sai Sudharsan was set in the middle. He started off the over with a wide before conceding a six, bowling wide again and giving away a single.
Then, on the third ball of the over, he bowled a length delivery to Sai Sudharsan, who went across the crease and smashed the ball over deep mid-wicket for an epic six.
Just as Penumatsa Venkata Satyanarayana Raju was walking back after conceding the six, Hardik Pandya pulled him up and was seen scolding him. Also, the former Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was frustrated with Raju's bowling.

Ex-England cricketer in awe of Hardik Pandya's talent
Speaking on ESPNcricinfo ahead of the match between GT and MI, former England player Nick Knight was hopeful of Hardik Pandya receiving a good reception from the Ahmedabad crowd after last year's nightmare.
Knight also showered rich praise on the all-rounder, saying that he has the ability to deliver in any phase of the game, which is quite rare quality. He said:
"I know time heals and I hope it has healed. Because let's hope we're not going to hear any more of that. I mean, I know the emotions run high. I get all of that. Totally get it. But let's hope that we're not going to see it this year."
"When I look at Hardik, I think to myself, he's so... You can sort of move him into different parts of the set-up a little bit. You feel like, hang on, where's he going to bat? You don't really want him batting below six, five, six. That's as low as you want.
"So, you feel like you can use him as a top-order batter-striker. And then, you're more than happy using him with the new ball. You're more than happy with him coming on in the middle."
"And you're more than happy with him bowling at any phase of the game. So, he's that type of cricketer that you just feel comfortable with him at any phase. And I think that's huge credit to him. Because there aren't many that you could say that about in the world game."
