India vs Pakistan game heats up with Abhishek Sharma engaging in a heated brawl with Haris Rauf

After 43 runs were scored in the first 4 overs of the game, Salman Agha handed the ball to pacer Haris Rauf. Rauf was welcomed with a blistering hit by Abhishek Sharma that raced to the fence. Soon after, a ball was sliced by Abhishek over the cover point region.

There was a constant exchange of words between the players, which went on to take a nasty turn after Shubman Gill hit another boundary to end Rauf's first over. The two players almost fumed and charged at each other, only to be interrupted by the field umpire, Gazi.

Abhishek Sharma leads the way for India with maiden Asia Cup half-century

The Indian opener has been very consistent with the bat for India. He has constantly scored handy 30s at the top of the batting order; however, this time, when India needed him the most, he delivered with a stunning half-century.

The left-handed batter went on to score 74 runs off just 39 balls at a strike rate of 189.74. He hit 5 sixes during his innings. Shubman Gill too played a very fine innings alongside Abhishek, as the two batters dared Pakistan with a 100-run opening stand.

Abhishek Sharma's dynamic innings came to an end off Abrar Ahmed's bowling in the 13th over of the game. Till then, the batter had done his part of the damage, and it was left for the Indian middle-order to pull off an almost run-a-ball chase.

Sanju Samson demoted again; India swaps batting order

The Indian wicket-keeper batter, who was seen as India's opening batter until the last T20I series, has had sheer uncertainty over his batting position in the Asia Cup. He received his first chance to bat against Oman in the previous game, where he was sent in at no. 3.

After a fifty at the top, Samson was again deprived of a spot in the top order and was demoted to the middle order. Suryakumar Yadav, the skipper, came into bat at no. 3, but missed out on runs this time around.

Now, coming in a new batting position at no. 5, Sanju Samson, alongside Tilak Varma, has a new role of guiding India over the line in an easy chase after sheer domination from the opening pair. They are further backed by the big-hitting all-rounders Shivam Dube, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel.
