Harry Brook blasts an excellent century
England National Cricket Team white-ball skipper Brook saved his best for the last and played a knock to remember for a very long time.
He looked class apart on his arrival in the middle and batted in proper Bazball style. Brook took the Indian bowlers to the cleaners and smashed them all over the park.
During the run-chase of 374, Harry Brook blasted a 39-ball fifty and a 91-ball hundred. It looked like he would remain unbeaten till the end, but it didn't happen as he got out in a strange manner.
On the fourth ball of the 63rd over, Akash Deep bowled a short delivery on off-stump, and Brook went for a hard slap, but ended up losing the grip of his bat
The bat flew into the leg-side while the ball flew up and into the off-side, and Mohammed Siraj, who dropped Brook when he was on just 19, moved to his left at mid-off and took a simple catch.
Brook got out for 111 runs off 98 balls, with 14 fours and 2 sixes. Overall, in 93 balls, he has scored 82 runs against Akash Deep and has gotten out four times.

What a strange way of ending it - Phil Tufnell
Former England spinner Phil Tufnell, while speaking on Test Match Special, felt that Brook had a rush of blood, which resulted in his dismissal. He said:
"A fabulous knock by Harry Brook. What a strange way of ending it. Charging down the wicket and the bat comes out of his hands - that's given India half a sniff. Why play that? Rush of blood."
Meanwhile, the legendary Australia skipper Ricky Ponting lauded Brook for playing a magnificent knock. Speaking on Sky Sports, he said:
"What a knock from Brook. It comes to an end but he has put his team in a very strong position. Is that the breakthrough India needed?"
"Magnificent knock from Brook. The coaching staff and the spectators are on their feet. It's a difficult pitch, the game is on the line, and Brook stands tall."
Also, the legendary pacer Stuart Broad said that Brook injects a lot of energy into the England team and made the most of Siraj's dropped chance. He said:
"Brilliant from Brook once again - eye-catching shots all around the ground and a fifty off just 39 balls. He feels like a key player in this chase. He injects a lot of energy into a batting group, a bit like Pant for India. Wherever the fielders are, he is still able to find the boundary. A wonderful talent."
"There are certain dropped catches you can forget about quickly but a key player in the fourth innings, that is harder to [get over]," he added.
