Whenever Rishabh Pant is on the field, entertainment is a sure thing. It does not matter whether the India youngster has a bat in his hand or not, he makes sure to keep the fans entertained with his antics on the field.
Time and again, Rishabh Pant has left not only his teammates and fans but the opposition players in splits as well with his hilarious comments and remarks from behind the stumps. During the first Test of the ongoing series against Bangladesh, the wicketkeeper-batsman had left everyone in splits by setting the field for his own batting.
And he was at it again on Friday (September 27) during the first day of the ongoing second India vs Bangladesh Test at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur. The 26-year-old came up with a hilarious comment as he took a dig at Mominul Haque's height.
The incident took place in the 33rd over when the Bangladesh batter was facing Ravichandran Ashwin. On the first ball of the over, he played a sweep shot but could not make good contact with the bat. The ball rose sharply and hit Mominul on the upper part of his body.
The Indian players appealed for an lbw but it was turned down by the umpire. And as Ashwin was getting ready to bowl the second ball of the over, Rishabh Pant was heard telling his teammate:
"Ye acha hai, helmet se bhi lbw le sakte hai (this is good, we can take lbw off the helmet as well)."
Former India skipper Sunil Gavaskar, who was in the commentary box at that time, burst out laughing after hearing Pant's comments. Gavaskar then went on to translate Pant's remarks into English.
"What he is trying to say in Hindi is that you can get an lbw off the helmet as well," said Gavaskar before adding that Pant was referring to Mominul's height.

Talking about the game, the first day of the second IND vs BAN Test came to an early end due to rain. Bangladesh were on 107/3 at the stumps. Akash Deep picked up two wickets while Ravichandran Ashwin picked up the other wicket. Mominul and Mushfiqur Rahim will start the proceedings with the bat on the second day.
