Hasan Ali, on Saturday (June 3), injured himself while celebrating a wicket during the game between Warwickshire and Nottinghamshire in the ongoing T20 Blast.

The Pakistan pacer is currently plying his trade for the English outfit after failing to make the cut for the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024. Last month, he was released from the Pakistan squad for their four-match series against England before he linked up with Warwickshire to resume his stint with the county team. Before linking up with the Pakistan squad, he was also playing red-ball cricket for Warwickshire.

Talking about the incident, it took place in the 19th over when Hasan Ali was bowling to Olly Stone. On the final ball of the over, the right-arm pacer bowled a pinpoint yorker to dismiss Stone. However, it did not take long for his delight to turn into despair as he ended up injuring himself.

As soon as he started doing his trademark 'explosion' celebration, he seemingly pulled a muscle in his abdomen and looked in pain. He was even struggling to breathe as he stretched his arms to get rid of the pain but it did not make much of a difference.

Watch as Hasan Ali injures himself while celebrating:

This is not the first time that Hasan Ali has suffered an injury while celebrating a wicket. He had suffered a similar fate in 2018 as well when he was playing for Pakistan against Zimbabwe. On that occasion, he had ended up pulling his neck muscle while doing his trademark celebration.

Warwickshire beat Nottinghamshire:

Talking about the game, Warwickshire beat Nottinghamshire by 22 runs to register their second win in as many games in the tournament. Batting first, Warwickshire were bowled out for 149 runs in 19.3 overs. Opener Robert Yates top-scored for his side, scoring 68 while none of his teammates could even reach the 20-run mark.

The 149-run total turned out to be more than enough in the end as Warwickshire bowled out Nottinghamshire for 127 to extend their winning start in the tournament. Dan Mousley picked up three wickets while Hasan Ali, Danny Briggs, and Jake Lintott picked up 2 wickets each.
