Team India pacer Mohammed Siraj received a heroic welcome from fans in Hyderabad on Friday, July 5, following the Rohit Sharma-led team's T20 World Cup 2024 victory. Fans cheered for him, shouted praises for Team India, and also joined in chants of 'Kohli, Kohli' during a celebratory roadshow in Hyderabad.

The Men in Blue won the 2024 T20 World Cup final game against South Africa by seven runs at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on June 29. However, their return to India was delayed due to Hurricane Beryl. They were stranded in Barbados for a few days before finally landing in Delhi early on July 4.

The Indian cricket team met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the morning before heading to Mumbai for a celebratory victory parade. The Men in Blue had an open-bus parade from Marine Drive to Wankhede Stadium. The board hosted a grand felicitation ceremony at Wankhede Stadium in front of fans.

Mohammed Siraj returned to Hyderabad on Friday after attending functions in Mumbai. He received a warm welcome in Hyderabad, where fans organized a victory parade for the pacer. Notably, Siraj had invited fans to join him for the celebration after the Rohit Sharma-led team's T20 World Cup triumph.

Hundreds of fans celebrated his return home as the T20 World Cup champion. The parade included decorated vehicles and enthusiastic fans chanting slogans. During the celebratory roadshow, fans enthusiastically chanted "Kohli, Kohli," with Siraj joining fans in chanting 'Kohli, Kohli'.

Virat Kohli's mentorship has played a crucial role in Mohammed Siraj's rise. Kohli provided guidance and support to Siraj on and off the field. Siraj has overcome significant challenges to become a pivotal player in the Indian team. He deserves recognition despite his limited role in the World Cup triumph.

“You were the one who saw in him at a time when no one saw it you groomed him guided him and you continue to do so for so many other lucky kids,” she added.

Virat Kohli scored a crucial 76-run innings in the 2024 T20 World Cup final. The right-handed batter helped the team reach an average of 177 runs against South Africa. His performance earned him the Player of the Match award as India ended their 11-year ICC trophy drought with a thrilling seven-run victory.
