India, led by Shubman Gill, pulled off a stunning six-run victory over England on the final day (Monday, August 4) in the fifth Test at The Oval. The Men in Blue leveled the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy series 2-2 and the Indian players and coaching staff from the dressing room celebrated ecstatically.

England’s hopes of chasing down a record target at The Oval were dashed on the final day. India and England will share the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy after a 2-2 draw.

Siraj was at the centre of the celebrations as Dhruv Jurel rushed in to embrace him, followed by the rest of the Indian team swarming the field. Gautam Gambhir and his coaching staff also joined in the celebrations from the dressing room.

Shubman Gill, leading India for the first time in a Test series, acknowledged the courage of Chris Woakes, who came out to bat despite a dislocated shoulder. India's players then circled the ground in a lap of honor, cheered on by their fans, with Siraj holding the match ball aloft and Gill leading from the front.

Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna Pick Four Wickets on Day 5

With 35 runs needed for England to win on the final day, overnight batters Jamie Smith and Jamie Overton resumed the chase. Meanwhile, injured all-rounder Chris Woakes was seen preparing to bat left-handed.

Overton briefly lifted England’s hopes by hitting consecutive boundaries in the opening over. However, Mohammed Siraj dismissed Smith with a delivery that shaped away, and then trapped Overton lbw with a marginal call that required a long look from umpire Dharmasena.

Prasidh Krishna cleaned up Josh Tongue with a pinpoint yorker before Woakes walked out bravely with his arm in a sling. Siraj then delivered a perfect yorker to knock over Gus Atkinson, wrapping up England's innings at 367 and completing his five-wicket haul.

It Means Absolutely Everything - KL Rahul

KL Rahul spoke about ongoing concerns about the future of Test cricket, stating that the intensity and quality of the recent series between India and England offered a powerful response to those doubts.

"It means absolutely everything. I have played cricket for a while. We won the Champions Trophy. I have seen India lifting the World Cup, nothing compares to lifting the World Cup."

"But so many doubts, so many questions about whether Test cricket will stay or not. I think both the teams with the way we have played the series I guess have answered the question."
