A scary moment shocked everyone during the Kerala Cricket League 2026 (KCL 2026) final when two fielders crashed into each other while trying to take a catch in Thiruvananthapuram.

Shaun Roger knocked unconscious after terrifying collision in KCL 2026 Final
The scary moment unfolded when Shaun Roger and Mohammad Inan collided as the Thrissur Titans teammates were sprinting towards the ball while trying to complete a catch off a shot from a Calicut Globstars batsman during the final of the Kerala Cricket League 2026 in Thiruvananthapuram.
Inan’s knee hit Roger directly in the chest, leaving him unconscious on the field following the frightening collision at the Greenfield International Stadium. Following the collision, Roger lay flat on the ground and remained motionless.
Seeing his teammate in that condition, Inan became visibly worried and immediately signalled for help. Soon after, the medical team rushed in, and even CPR was performed after he did not respond on the field. He was immediately treated by the medical team and taken to hospital.

Thrissur Titans take KCL Trophy straight to hospital
Despite the scary incident, the Thrissur Titans went on to beat the Calicut Globestars by three wickets in the Kerala Cricket League 2026 final at the Greenfield International Stadium in Thiruvananthapuram and won their maiden KCL title.
But their celebrations turned emotional as the entire team decided to visit their injured teammate Shaun Roger in a Thiruvananthapuram hospital soon after becoming champions. Amid this, Aminul Haque confirms BPL future after BCB suspension decision.
Roger was still recovering, with his left arm in a sling. The players then placed the championship trophy in his lap, creating an emotional moment that touched fans. Roger later shared a video of the special moment on social media that showed the strong bond inside the Titans team.

Sharing the clip, Roger wrote an emotional message: “My dream and wish was to lift the trophy in front of a packed stadium, but God had a different plan for me. I felt a little pain when I couldn’t be there on the stage where I was supposed to celebrate one of the happiest moments of my life.
From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely thank my beloved Thrissur Titans team members, coaches, and all the officials, especially our Team Owner, Sajid Sir. A heartfelt thank you to the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) and the KCL Tournament organisers for organising such a wonderful tournament.

Roger played a key role in the historic title triumph
Shaun Roger played a key role in Thrissur’s title-winning campaign. He scored 269 runs in 12 matches at an average of 26.90 and a strike rate of 120.63. He also smashed a brilliant half-century. Thrissur finished third in the league stage with five wins and 11 points from 10 matches.
The Thrissur team booked their place in the final after beating the Trivandrum Royals by just one wicket in the semi-final. The Titans had suffered a heavy 10-wicket loss in last season’s semi-final. This time, they came back stronger and won their first KCL title.
