Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player Jamie Overton showed frustration during the recent Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). After losing his wicket in a difficult run chase, Overton threw his helmet onto the ground in the dugout in front of captain Ruturaj Gaikwad.
Chennai Super Kings suffered a 43-run defeat at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, April 5. They conceded 250 runs to the home side after winning the toss. Royal Challengers Bengaluru won the game by 43 runs, handing their rivals another loss. RCB moved to the top of the 10-team points table.

Jamie Overton batted aggressively to keep the run chase alive, scoring 37 runs off 16 deliveries. However, spinner Suyash Sharma dismissed him in the seventeenth over.
The right-handed batter hit the ball towards long-off, where substitute fielder Jacob Bethell completed the catch to end his innings and seal the match. After the dismissal, video footage showed Overton walking back towards the Chennai Super Kings dugout.
He removed his helmet and slammed it to the ground in frustration after crossing the boundary ropes. Fellow players, including Ruturaj Gaikwad, watched in silence.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Set 250-Run Target
Royal Challengers Bengaluru posted 250/3 in 20 overs. Devdutt Padikkal scored 50 runs before Jamie Overton dismissed him. After his wicket, Rajat Patidar and Tim David built a quick fourth-wicket partnership, adding 99 runs from 36 deliveries against the visiting bowlers.
Rajat Patidar remained unbeaten on 48 off 19 balls. He attacked Khaleel Ahmed, hitting two sixes and a boundary in the final over of his spell. Tim David dominated the death overs, finishing with 70 not out off 25 balls to help Royal Challengers Bengaluru reach a massive total.
David targeted Jamie Overton in the 19th over. He scored 30 runs in that over, hitting four sixes, one four, and a double. One of the sixes traveled 106 meters over deep mid-wicket and landed outside the stadium in Cubbon Park.
Chennai Super Kings started their run chase poorly, losing three wickets in the first three overs. Jacob Duffy dismissed captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson early. Bhuvneshwar Kumar then took the wicket of Ayush Mhatre, leaving the team struggling to keep up with the required run rate of over 12.
Sarfaraz Khan and Kartik Sharma tried to rebuild the innings with a 47-run partnership for the fourth wicket. However, Krunal Pandya dismissed both batters in the same over to stop their momentum. Prashant Veer then added 57 runs with Jamie Overton before Bhuvneshwar Kumar dismissed him for 43 runs.
Chennai Super Kings were bowled out for 207 with two balls remaining. Bhuvneshwar Kumar finished with figures of 3/41. Royal Challengers recorded Bengaluru’s fourth consecutive win over Chennai Super Kings.
