Team India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah provided an early breakthrough for his team on Day 4 (Saturday, July 26) of the fourth Test against England in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Bumrah delivered an unplayable ball that shattered Liam Dawson’s stumps in the morning session in Manchester.
England resumed the day at 544/7 with Ben Stokes (77) and Liam Dawson (21) at the crease. They started the session with positive intent and helped the team extend their lead beyond 200. Jasprit Bumrah, who had struggled with fitness the previous day, picked up the first wicket of the day in his third over.

Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Liam Dawson with a superb delivery that crashed into the top of the off stump. He beat Dawson’s defence, giving India their first wicket of the morning and claiming his second of the innings. However, England remained in a strong position with a commanding 205-run lead.
The breakthrough was set up by the previous delivery, which unexpectedly flew over Dawson’s head. Both balls landed on a similar good length, which showcases the unpredictable bounce of the pitch. Bumrah slightly pitched the next one fuller. Dawson had to depart after scoring 26 off 65 balls.
