Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah proved to be a big asset to the bowling lineup with an excellent five-wicket haul in the second innings against England at the Nottingham. It was an outstanding spell of bowling as England was looking to run away with the lead in their second innings, but Bumrah made sure the target wasn’t daunting.

England set a target of 209 for India in the last innings to chase down and so far India has progressed towards the score really well with 52 for the loss of one wicket at the end of day four. They still have to get 157 with nine wickets left in the bank to take a lead of 1-0 in the five-match test series.

Bumrah’s Name Inscribed On The Honours Board For The Second Time

Jasprit Bumrah picked up his second five-wicket haul at Trent Bridge, Nottingham in the first test against England. The first one came in 2018 in his maiden tour of England and it was the only test that India managed to win in the whole five-match series. Interestingly, both the fifers came in the second innings of the test and Bumrah has managed to pick up 16 wickets at the venue already in the two Tests he has played.

The bowlers with five-wicket hauls at Trent Bridge have their names inscribed on the honors board and Hardik Pandya was another bowler who got his name inscribed on the board in the last tour.
