Jasprit Bumrah, on Friday (May 30), gave his India teammate Washington Sundar a send-off after castling him with a stunning yorker in the ongoing IPL 2025 Eliminator between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium, Mullanpur, New Chandigarh.
Mumbai Indians were in desperate need of a wicket when Jasprit Bumrah was reintroduced into the attack in the 14th over.
Sai and Sundar lead GT's fightback
Sai Sudharsan and Washington Sundar had put Gujarat Titans in a strong position by adding 84 runs for the third wicket.
Both the batsmen were hitting boundaries at will to keep their team in contention to chase down 229 runs.
At the end of the 13th over, Gujarat Titans were 148/2 before Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya handed the ball to Jasprit Bumrah. The India pace spearhead conceded three singles on the first three balls before firing in an unplayable yorker to dismiss Sundar.
Sundar couldn't interpret Bumrah's wit
The left-handed batsman was completely floored by the pinpoint yorker. The ball was directed at the leg-stump and Sundar just could not dig it out. He wanted to flick the ball but could not make any contact.
Jasprit Bumrah was absolutely pumped up and celebrated the crucial breakthrough by giving Sundar a fiery send-off. Sundar departed after scoring 48 runs off just 24 balls with the help of 5 fours and 3 sixes.

Talking about the game, Gujarat Titans were on 170/4 in the 16th over at the time of writing this report. Richard Gleeson dismissed a well-set Sai Sudharsan in the 16th over to put Mumbai Indians back in the driver's seat. Sudharsan departed after scoring 81 runs off 49 balls.
Earlier in the game, Mumbai Indians finished their innings on 228/5 after their captain won the toss and opted to bat first. Rohit Sharma impressed with the bat for Mumbai, scoring 81 runs off 50 balls while Jonny Bairstow also played a crucial 47-run knock.
