Jasprit Bumrah exchanged funny banter with the paparazzi at the airport. The star pacer was spotted entering the Airport with his wife and well-known sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan and their son Angad.

Paparazzi were waiting outside the airport’s entrance gate to click some photos of Jasprit Bumrah. On arrival, Bumrah requested the paparazzi not to click photos of his wife and son. Later, they showed gratitude for keeping their request. Though Bumrah himself posed for a few clicks before checking in to the airport.

Jasprit Bumrah is spending his free time with his family

The pacer was in a very comfortable and casual outfit. He is in a casual black oversized T-shirt with comfortable pants, shoes, and a cap on. As he is not in the ODI team for the ongoing series against Afghanistan, he now has some free time to spend with family and close ones.

Jasprit Bumrah had to play back-to-back matches despite concerns over his workload. After securing the 2026 T20 World Cup, he went to play the 2026 Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) with the Mumbai Indians.

It was a very tough season for the ace pacer as he bagged only four wickets in 13 matches. He had an average of 102.50, a strike rate of 73.5, and an economy rate of 8.36.

Bumrah's funny comments to the Paparazzi

He is expected to return to action again for Team India during the tour to the United Kingdom, where they will face Ireland and England in two consecutive white-ball series. The 32-year-old looked relaxed as he shared a funny moment with the fans and paparazzi at the airport.

As they reached the airport gate in the morning, the experienced cricketer asked them to have proper rest and breakfast. “Subeh Subeh aaram karo, naashta karo (Rest and have breakfast in the morning)," Jasprit Bumrah said.

Questions over the seamer's work ethics

While the Board of Control for Cricket in India closely monitors the pace spearhead’s workload management to prolong his career at the highest level, former India cricketer Snajay Manjrekar raises questions on the bowler’s work ethic.

“Bumrah is somebody… I’m just confused about how his career is going in terms of his availability. I did an Insta post yesterday. I thought Bumrah was the frontrunner to become India’s T20 captain because I thought he could handle the T20 workload,” he said on the Sony Sports Network.

The former cricketer asked Bumrah to play more matches for the national cricket team, as he made himself available for the entire Indian Premier League season.

“I just wish that he would commit himself more to India. I can understand the workload he feels for Test cricket; 50 overs of cricket is extremely demanding. But considering that he played the entire IPL, I thought he would be able to take the workload of a few T20 matches in Ireland and England,” Manjrekar added.

It is worth noting that Jasprit Bumrah went to the board’s Center of Excellence (CoE) before joining the Mumbai Indians for the 2026 season.
