India National Cricket Team fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat made sure that he set the stage on fire in the ongoing county Championship. The fast bowler made his presence felt for the Sussex in the game against Yorkshire, which is underway at the North Marine Road Ground in Scarborough
Jaydev Unadkat drew the first blood for his team after his team got all out for just 189 runs. The left-arm pacer took the new ball along with Ollie Robinson and made sure that he troubled the opposition. He bowled impeccable lines and lengths and made the batters dance to his tunes.
Jaydev Unadkat came up with a sensational effort with the ball and it resulted in the wicket of Adam Lyth. The Saurashtra pacer came up with a sensational yorker that stunned the batter and went on to shatter his stumps. He didn't expect the pacer to come up with this.

Jaydev Unadkat then went on to remove the other opener Finlay Bean for just 3 runs. The fast bowler looked in decent touch with the new ball and helped his team get to the top with the new ball. In the first 17 overs that he bowled, he gave away just 41 runs and picked up two wickets.
This is Unadkat's second stint in the County Championship for Sussex. He played 4 games in his first stint and bagged 11 wickets. His best performance came against Leicestershire when he took 6/94 in the second innings as Sussex won by 15 runs.
Jaydev Unadkat joined Sussex after he was ignored by the BCCI selectors for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2024. The pacer despite being one of the best performers in the domestic circuit wasn't named in any of the four squads for the tournament, which will begin from 5th September.
Unadkat, who captains Saurashtra in Indian domestic cricket, has been a veteran for the team. The left-arm fast bowler has played 114 first-class matches and picked 403 wickets at an average of around 23.34. He has taken 23 five-wicket hauls in his career as well.
The Saurashtra pacer has also played four Tests for the India National Cricket Team. After making his debut on December 16, 2010, and after he was sidelined. He then went on to play the second Test 12 later and missed 118 Test matches between, which is the highest by an Indian and second highest in world cricket.
Unadkat in the four games has taken 3 wickets. His last appearance for the national team came in the second Test against the West Indies National Cricket Team in July 2023. Since then he has been out of the Indian team and has played in the domestic circuit.
