Sunrisers Hyderabad pacer Jaydev Unadkat took his team off to a flying start with the ball in the ongoing game against Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The match between the two teams is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
After posting a total of just 143 runs on the board, Sunrisers Hyderabad needed something special at the start of the innings. And fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat, who took the new ball, came up with exactly that to take his team off to a flying start with the ball.
Jaydev Unadkat removed the Mumbai Indians opener Ryan Rickelton as he came up with the magical catch off his own bowling. It was during the second ball of the second over when the pacer showed great reflexes to provide his team with a crucial breakthrough.
Unadkat bowled a back-of-a-length ball angling in from outside off that held a bit on the surface. Ryan Rickelton tried to tuck it square of the wicket but closed his bat face early. He didn't get the proper connection and ended up getting a leading edge.
Unadkat was alert on his follow-through as he stuck his left hand out and grabbed it nicely. He was cock-a-hoop as he couldn't believe himself with the kind of effort that he had.
