Jofra Archer Takes Stunner To Dismiss Washington Sundar
PC: X

Indian batters have already struggled at Lord's as the seamers have done a remarkable job ever since England set the target of just 193 runs. The runs might have looked easily chasable with more than a day remaining and the current form of the Indian batters.

But the England pace attack has ruined India's plans and has made them look like toddlers in front of them. With three big wickets and the wicket of nightwatchman Akash Deep, they ended Day 4's play.

England seemed to have begun exactly from where they left off, as the bowling carnage continues at Lord's and England are at the brink of extending their lead in the series.

Watch: Jofra Archer takes a stunner to dismiss Washington Sundar

Jofra Archer is now making his presence felt at Lord's. Whenever the English have needed a match winner, Archer has been the one to step forward and pick crucial wickets for them.

After picking the game-changing wicket of Rishabh Pant, he took a blinder of a catch of his own bowling, diving to his right as he pulled one out of thin air. Washington Sundar was back in the hut, and India are 7 down with over 100 runs needed for a win.

Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul are gone early; the Indian innings sinks

After the fall of 4 wickets on Day 4, if India were to even think of winning the match from there, they would have needed a big partnership loading between Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul. Rahul had already shown some resistance on Day 4, as he scored 33* valuable runs.

However, it is to be kept in mind that Rahul survived a wicket that almost tickled the top of the off-stump and then was dropped on 5 runs by Chris Woakes off his own bowling. Jofra Archer did the job for England as he dismissed Rishabh Pant, India's hope during the run chase.

Pant absolutely had no clue of Archer's perfect delivery that shaped sharply towards his off-stump at full pace; it seemed unplayable for the batter, despite his good form. KL Rahul was then found right in front of the wickets, plumb LBW by skipper Ben Stokes.

Indian eye draw? Hopes pinned on Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja has been in good form in the test series, as he has 3 consecutive half-centuries in the last three innings played against England at Edgbaston and Lord's. Jadeja has been the anchor of the revival of the Indian lower-order batting.

With Washington Sundar also dismissed, it totally depends on Ravindra Jadeja to take the innings further alongside Nitish Kumar Reddy. Even if the runs do not seem many, still with just 3 wickets remaining and the pitch offering help, it would be wise for India to look forward to drawing the game instead of chasing the total.

Jadeja would have to bat for all sessions of the match and keep his composure even if his strike rate drops to single digits if India does not look to win the match from here.
