England captain Jos Buttler, who walked out to bat at No.3, looked solid with the bat and made sure he made a decent contribution for his team. The keeper-batter played some brilliant shots in his innings and made sure that he kept the momentum in his team's court.
Jos Buttler played a perfect fiddle to Ben Duckett
Jos Buttler played a perfect fiddle to Ben Duckett, who was going great guns. The England captain also tried to put peddle on the accelerator but after a few shots, he had to take a long walk back to the pavilion, thanks to the brilliance of Sanju Samson behind the stumps.
On the 1st ball of the 9th over, Varun Chakravarthy bowled a good length delivery just outside off that was a gentle seam-up delivery. Jos Buttler switched up his legs and went for a big reverse-sweep, and the ball passed very close to his gloves before being grabbed by Sanju Samson.
Sanju Samson went straight up for the appeal even though Varun Chakravarthy wasn't convinced. The keeper-batter asked skipper Suryakumar Yadav to take the DRS. The UltraEdge returned with a little spike when the ball was next to the bottom edge.
Jos Buttler stood there for a while but knew he had edged it. What was impressive was the catch taken by the Sanju Samson.
