Gujarat Titans (GT) batter Jos Buttler had a decent outing with the bat in the game against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. The 9th game of the league between the teams is taking place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Jos Buttler, who has been assigned to bat at number three in Gujarat Titans, came up the impactful innings in the ongoing game against Mumbai Indians. The keeper-batter walked out to bat after the solid 78-run opening partnership by Shubman Gill (38) and Sai Sudharsan (63).
Jos Buttler looked to carry on the momentum and played some blistering shots in his innings. The right-hander timed the ball to perfection as he played spinners brilliantly to put pressure on Mumbai Indians.
The highlight of Jos Buttler's innings was the four that he hit against Satyanarayana Raju in the 13th over. The former England National Cricket Team skipper showed great awareness as he dispatched the slower ball for a boundary to hit his second four in the over.
Satyanarayana Raju bowled an ultimate slower bouncer. Jos Buttler waited and waited for the ball to come to him and then slapped it away between fine leg and deep square for a boundary.

We were targeting under 200 runs, so half the job done -Trent Boult
Trent Boult, after the innings, revealed that they aimed to restrict opposition under 200. He backed his team to chase the target. Speaking to broadcasters, he said:
"We were targeting under 200 runs, so half the job done. The boys in the change room are pumped, so hopefully we should get there. It is different soil than the previous years, but it was a good pitch so happy to keep them under 200.
"(On recovering post the powerplay) Being allowed 3 more fielders outside helped, the powerplay is a different game in itself and then spin comes into the equation as well. (If there is dew) Yes there is, so hopefully it works in our favour."
