In the 13th over, the Sri Lanka star took an outstanding catch to give SRH a crucial breakthrough. Harshal Patel bowled a half-volley outside the off stump, and Dewald Brevis made a good connection, hitting it towards long off.

The ball was looking destined to cross the boundary before Kamindu Mendis decided to pull off the stunning catch. He made a full-length dive towards his left side and caught the ball with both hands while being in the air.

Watch the catch from Kamindu Mendis to dismiss Dewald Brevis:

Dewald Brevis' departure put SRH firmly in the driver's seat in the game. At the end of that over, CSK were on 115/5 with Deepak Hooda and Shivam Dube batting in the middle.

Earlier in the game, Pat Cummins won the toss and opted to bowl first. His decision was justified on the very first ball of the match as Mohammed Shami sent back Shaik Rasheed for a golden duck. Sam Curran could not do much with the bat either after being promoted and departed for 9 runs in the fifth over.

CSK lose momentum in yet another batting collapse

CSK lost another wicket inside the powerplay with Pat Cummins dismissing Ayush Mhatre. The youngster was looking in good touch but could not convert his start into a big score. He departed after scoring 30 runs off 19 balls. Ravindra Jadeja was the fourth CSK wicket to fall, departing for 21 runs.

CSK and SRH are currently languishing in the last two spots in the points table. Both teams have managed to win only 2 of their first 8 games and will be desperate to win the ongoing game to turn things around.
