Karun Nair Hits 4 Back To Back Fours
PC: X

Karun Nair, on Saturday (May 24), finally showed some form with the bat as he scored 44 runs during the game between Delhi Capitals and Punjab Kings at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

The right-handed batsman began his campaign with a stunning 89-run against the Mumbai Indians. It was his first IPL game since 2022, and Karun Nair grabbed the opportunity with both hands. He has been a regular in the Delhi Capitals playing eleven since then, but has struggled to impress.

After the 89-run knock, he managed to cross the 20-run mark just once in the following six innings and was also dismissed for a duck twice. However, he finally got some much-needed runs under his belt against Punjab Kings.

Karun Nair started his innings cautiously and was batting on 11 runs off 9 balls before breaking the shackles in the 11th over when he faced Praveen Dubey. The Punjab Kings spinner dismissed Sediqullah Atal on the first ball of the over before a single on the second ball saw Nair getting the strike.

The dismissal earlier in the over did not have any impact on Nair as he decided to take Dubey to the cleaners. The Delhi Capitals star hit the spinner for 4 fours in a row to race away to 27 runs by the end of the over.
